♦ Osage Alpacas - be an awesome criador ♦

Congratulations are in order for Annie of Alpaca Wings & Mary of Curly Eye Alpacas for their purchase of huacaya females during our 2012 XYZ Female Sale!  Thank you for bringing my girls to such wonderful homes.

Osage Alpacas is having a BLOW OUT SPECIAL: the 2012 XYZ Female Sale.  To find details, go to the "Alpacas for Sale" page and scroll down to where is says "Package Deals".  The short version: you can own 6 females for $2012 or 3 females for $1200! At the start of this sale, there are twenty-seven female huacaya alpacas to choose from [update 1/25 - now there are only 21 to choose from!].  This is the biggest sale in Osage Alpacas' history.

2012 is surely going to see Osage Alpacas go through an evolutionary stage just as memorable as when we began breeding in 2002 and as bold as when we completed our dedicated facility in 2006.  In 2012, Osage Alpacas will be transitioning to a small, streamlined operation.  Our many years of experience will be intact.  Our love of alpacas will not change.  You'll still be able to count on us for advice and guidance.  We're not sure how it will all pan out, but first thing is first... we need to find great homes for over half our herd.  Please help -- if you know anyone interesting in owning alpacas, we're selling wonderful animals for incredible bargains.  If you bring us a good buyer, we'll find some way to thank you.

Herd statistics as of January 2012: 2 juvenile sires, 2 junior sires, 3 herd sires & 41 females.  Average age: 6 years old.  Oldest: 13 years.  This is a very young herd!

Did you know...  that Osage Alpacas has worked with over 400 veterinarians, vet students, and vet med practitioners & technicians since 2005?  We're proud to offer educational opportunities to everyone who cares for our camelids.

Osage Alpacas wants you to "Be the best criador you can be!"

Repatriating Camelids to Missouri since 2002.
Did you know that the proto-Camel, from which all six modern
Camelids speciated, was native to Missouri?
When you think of Missouri Alpacas, think Osage Alpacas.

"Criador" is Spanish for "breeder" or "creator". The phrase
for "alpaca breeders" is "Criadores Alpaqueros".
